Mission: To reduce the impact of poverty and to provide opportunities for a future without poverty.

Services Provided:

  1. Preschool program
    1. Head Start for 3- and 4-year-old children
    2. Bright Star program for 4-year-old children
    3. Day care program for 2- to 6-year-old children
  2. Energy Share program to help avoid utility cutoff
  3. Volunteer income tax assistance program provides free tax preparation
  4. Emergency home repair program
  5. Community food bank
  6. Virginia CARES program for formerly-incarcerated individuals
  7. Temporary assistance for needy families

Founded in 1965, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization.

All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by IRS.
